Frequently Asked Questions

How do I find out if I am eligible to apply for a visa to Australia?

Check the current Australia Department of Home Affairs Immigration and Citizenship website. Better yet is to approach a Registered Migration Agent (RMA) or a legal practitioner specialising in Immigration Law. They have access to immigration procedures and policies that are not published publicly.

Will the immigration authorities or Embassy help me to prepare my application and make sure that everything is correct before applying?

No. A Registered Migration Agent (RMA) or a legal practitioner specialising in Immigration Law can provide this kind of service. You can find a Registered Migration Agent in the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority website. Each one has a Migration Agent Registration Number (MARN). Please remember that immigration laws change frequently and the persons mentioned earlier have access to up-to-date policies and procedures which are not published publicly.

What is the best way to enquire about studying in Australia?

If you are a non-Australian permanent resident or non-Australian citizen, you can enquire directly with the education provider. However, it is strongly advised that you approach a Qualified Education Agent Counsellor (QEAC). You can find a QEAC in the  Professional International Education Resources (PIER) website. Each QEAC has a Qualified Education Agent Counsellor Number. They normally work with several educational institutions and are knowledgeable on how best you can be assisted.

Can the immigration authorities refuse my application?

Yes. Many  applicants are unaware how strictly the immigration regulations are enforced and are often unnecessarily refused or delayed due to technical errors on their application or by submitting the wrong supporting documentation. So the moral of the story is to consider seeking the professional guidance and independent advice of a RMA or a legal practitioner specialising in Immigration Law before lodging a visa application. They exist to help you find the best way through the immigration maze and are highly effective in doing so.

My migration agent has assessed me as being eligible for a visa to/in Australia. If I apply without his or her help, can I be certain of success?

No. Although you may basically qualify, you are by no means guaranteed of success. In order to be approved, your application must be prepared in accordance with the prevailing immigration regulations and submitted together with the appropriate supporting documentation. The ways in which to do this are not always clearly set out by the immigration authorities and can result in many applicants presenting their cases incorrectly, inevitably leading to refusal. So you should consider seeking the assistance of a RMA or a legal practitioner specialising in Immigration Law for the entire visa process.

What if I am facing visa cancellation?

If you were  issued a notice for visa cancellation, you have a very limited time in which to respond so an urgent and thorough response is required. It is important that you engage a RMA or a legal practitioner specialising in Immigration Law to maximise your chances of a successful outcome.

Is there a fee for a visa application, visa issue or education initial consultation?

We charge AUD$100 for an equivalent one-hour initial consultation. This ensures that you are serious about migrating to Australia. It means you are prepared to engage the services of a professional migration agent. Everyone has a unique situation, and so how we approach and complete your visa application package or deal with a specific visa issue will be unique and tailored to you, too.
Our nominal initial consultation fee covers the time spent to meet with you and the time and effort to do extensive research on your specific case. You will be asked to complete a questionnaire and based on the provided information, we will discuss (face-to-face, by Zoom or by email) your Australian immigration desires and provide you with accurate advice that will allow you to make a decision to either go ahead with your application on your own, retain us to meticulously complete a submission package on your behalf or in some cases, our advice may be for you to wait and to not yet apply until you have overcome possible reasons that we know would lead you to a denial of  your visa application or issue.
This consultation includes a Letter of Advice to guide you on your decision. The Letter also includes the probability of success and our professional fees. The fee paid for the initial consultation can be deducted from the professional fees.
Please note the amount we charge is for the process, not the result. Results can never be guaranteed by anyone (migration agent or lawyer).

Please note that there is NO fee for consultation on enrolling into an Australian educational insitution.
